As you know I have two cockerels, called Jake and Bob. They are in foster with a lady called Leah Kersey. She’s been having issues which I won’t go into, but the crux of the matter is that she won’t give me my birds back. Police can’t help, Citizens Advice can’t help, RSPCA won’t help and I don’t know who else to reach out to. She dropped contact with me back in August of last year and I finally got a reply from her beginning of last week. Now it’s silence again. She refuses to tell me if she even still has my birds. She never mentioned them when she spoke to me last week.
What do I do at this point? I’m out of options apart from going down to her address and seeing if she has them, but obviously she’s most likely to not respond or say she doesn’t have them, even though I know for a fact she DOES have them. But because I can’t prove this, the police won’t investigate them as stolen. I’m at a loss. If anyone else has any ideas, please leave a comment below. Please be kind, she’s a lovely lady, but clearly she’s had a hard time in the last few months and I don’t wish to make things harder, I just want my boys back.
